The Asbestos Safety Awareness eLearning course provides learners with an understanding of asbestos, the health risks associated with exposure and the precautions that should be taken when working in environments where asbestos-containing materials may be present.

The course explores where asbestos may be found, how exposure can occur and the importance of recognising materials that could potentially contain asbestos. It also covers appropriate action if asbestos is suspected or accidentally disturbed, helping learners understand their responsibilities and avoid work that could place themselves or others at risk.

Interactive activities may be included throughout the course to reinforce key learning points.

Assessment

Knowledge and understanding are checked through online assessment activities. Depending on the course content, these may include multiple-choice questions, matching exercises, drag-and-drop activities and image-based questions.

A minimum score of 70% is required to successfully complete the course.

Certification

Upon successful completion of the course and assessment requirements, learners will receive a UK Rural Skills (UKRS) Accredited Certificate of Training.

This is an asbestos awareness course and does not provide the training or competence required to undertake work with or intentionally disturb asbestos-containing materials.
