The BASIS Foundation Award in Agronomy (Agriculture) provides learners with a sound introduction to agronomy, integrated crop protection and crop nutrition, developing the knowledge required to support effective crop production and sustainable farming practices.
Combining tutor-led learning with participatory lectures, crop walking and group exercises, delegates will develop an understanding of the principles of agronomy, crop husbandry, weeds, pests and diseases, soil management, crop nutrition and the responsible use of pesticides and fertilisers.
