Description
This training course aims to give trainees the knowledge, understanding and basic skills required for the safe operation of tracked forward tipping dumpers. It introduces trainees to manoeuvring the machine over uneven and challenging ground conditions, travelling both laden and unladen, and carrying out tipping and loading operations safely and efficiently on site. Trainees will cover daily pre-use inspections, safe loading and tipping procedures, and the hazards and risks associated with tracked dumper operations, including stability, ground conditions, gradients, visibility, and working in proximity to people, plant, and structures. The course also includes safe systems of work, segregation of pedestrians, and compliance with relevant health and safety legislation. The length of training may vary depending on the objectives covered, the ratio of trainee to instructor, and the ability and previous experience of the trainees. The delivery of training includes a combination of theoretical instruction and practical exercises.
