An insight into the requirements of the new Code of Practise with emphasis on changes from the previous version How to clean containers effectively particularly with regard to the requirements of the recycling industry. The importance of putting the chemical where it is intended to go and how best to achieve this. The financial and environmental implications of failure to do so. The importance of correct nozzle selection for the prevailing crop and climatic conditions and the consequences of an incorrect choice. The implications of forward speed when spraying and the importance of travelling at the optimum speed. The legal and practical issues surrounding water volume, including a discussion of reduced volume applications. Buffer zones and how to comply with them. Cross compliance and Environmental schemes. The practical implications for sprayer operators of the current legal requirements on agricultural holdings. Disposal of waste materials. An overview of how the legislation has changed and the resulting legal and practical responsibilities for sprayer operators.
