Description
The Noise Awareness course provides learners with the knowledge required to recognise the risks associated with workplace noise, understand employer and employee responsibilities, and apply appropriate control measures to reduce the risk of noise-induced hearing damage.
Combining tutor-led learning with practical examples and workplace scenarios, delegates will develop an understanding of noise hazards, exposure limits, hearing protection, risk assessment principles and methods of controlling noise within the workplace. The course is suitable for anyone who works in environments where hazardous noise levels may be encountered.
Training is delivered in line with the UK Rural Skills (UKRS) Course Standard, ensuring a structured, competence-based awareness programme that provides delegates with the knowledge required to work safely in noisy environments.

Assessment
Delegates are assessed throughout the course through instructor questioning, participation in learning activities and knowledge-based assessment to confirm their understanding of workplace noise hazards and appropriate control measures. Assessment is conducted against the learning outcomes and assessment criteria specified within the relevant UK Rural Skills (UKRS) Course Standard.
Certification
Upon successful completion of the course, delegates will receive a UK Rural Skills (UKRS) Accredited Certificate, demonstrating that they have successfully achieved the learning outcomes and assessment criteria specified within the relevant UKRS Course Standard.
This course provides awareness of workplace noise hazards and supports employers in meeting their duties under the Control of Noise at Work Regulations 2005. Employers remain responsible for undertaking suitable noise risk assessments, monitoring exposure and implementing appropriate control measures where required.
Entry Requirements
There are no formal entry requirements for this course. Delegates should possess a sufficient understanding of spoken and written English to fully participate in training and assessment.
