0.5 day course, Irrigation application and soils surface management for effective water management. All systems of application performance and water flows/pressure need are discussed. Application rate, uniformity, soils infiltration rate and losses are discussed and compared to agreed standards and cropping needs. Effective water scheduling, equipment operation and soils surface management are considered to offer significant reductions in water use without loss in crop output relating to yield and quality required in modern marketing standards.
