Description
This course is designed for individuals who require an understanding of environmental issues and the practical actions that can be taken to reduce the environmental impact of workplace activities. The course introduces environmental management and considers the relationship between responsible environmental practices and effective organisational operations. Learners explore current environmental issues and the importance of reducing unnecessary resource consumption and environmental impacts. Learners develop an awareness of energy efficiency, carbon footprints, waste reduction and electronic waste (eWaste), together with practical measures that can be implemented within the workplace to improve environmental performance. The course uses examples of environmentally responsible workplace practices to demonstrate how individuals and organisations can contribute to reducing energy consumption, waste and their wider environmental impact. Overall, the course aims to increase environmental awareness and provide learners with practical knowledge to support more environmentally responsible and resource-efficient working practices.
