Description
The Crop Walk for Spray Operators course provides spray operators with a practical introduction to crop agronomy through a guided field walk led by an experienced agronomist.
Designed specifically for operators working with combinable crops, sugar beet and potatoes, the course helps delegates develop a greater understanding of crop growth, identification of weeds, pests and diseases, crop nutrition and the reasons behind agronomic recommendations. By increasing their understanding of crop development and protection strategies, spray operators are better equipped to support safe, effective and timely pesticide application.
Training is delivered in line with the UK Rural Skills (UKRS) Course Standard, combining practical field-based learning with professional discussion and real-world agronomic examples.
