The IOSH Managing Safely® course is an internationally recognised health and safety qualification designed to provide managers and supervisors with the knowledge and practical skills required to effectively manage health and safety within the workplace.

Combining tutor-led learning with practical exercises, case studies and workplace scenarios, delegates will develop an understanding of their health and safety responsibilities, risk management, accident investigation and performance monitoring. The course is designed to help managers apply sound health and safety principles within their own workplace whilst promoting a positive safety culture and ensuring legal compliance.

Assessment

Delegates complete the assessment requirements specified by IOSH, which typically include a multiple-choice knowledge assessment and a practical workplace risk assessment project. Successful completion of both elements is required to achieve the qualification.


Certification

Upon successful completion of the course and assessment, delegates will receive the IOSH Managing Safely® Certificate, issued by the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH).


Entry Requirements

There are no formal entry requirements for this course. It is intended for managers, supervisors and others with responsibility for managing health and safety within the workplace. Delegates should possess a sufficient understanding of spoken and written English to fully participate in training and complete the assessment.


Course Duration

The course is typically delivered over three to four days, depending on the chosen delivery format and training provider. Delivery may be arranged as consecutive days or split into modules to suit organisational requirements.
