Description

This course is designed for employees working in office environments who require an understanding of workplace harassment, its potential effects and their role in helping to maintain a safe, respectful and professional workplace. The course introduces workplace harassment and helps learners recognise behaviours that may constitute inappropriate or unacceptable conduct. Learners consider how harassment can affect individuals, working relationships and the wider workplace, and why inappropriate behaviour should be recognised and addressed. Learners develop an understanding of their individual responsibility for contributing to a workplace free from harassment, including maintaining appropriate standards of behaviour, treating colleagues with dignity and respect and considering how their own conduct may affect others. The course also considers the importance of responding appropriately when harassment is experienced or observed, including following relevant organisational policies and procedures and raising or reporting concerns through appropriate workplace channels. Overall, the course aims to increase employee awareness of workplace harassment and reinforce the shared responsibility of all employees for helping to prevent inappropriate behaviour and maintain a respectful working environment.
