Description


This course is designed for individuals who want to develop their understanding of stress and practical strategies for managing stress in their personal and professional lives. The course introduces the physical, emotional, behavioural and cognitive symptoms of stress and explores common work-related and non-work-related stressors. Learners consider how prolonged stress can affect health, relationships, work and general wellbeing. Learners explore practical approaches to managing stress, including managing time and interruptions, communicating assertively, seeking support, addressing negative thought patterns and maintaining an appropriate work-life balance. The course also considers relaxation, rest, exercise and nutrition as part of an ongoing approach to managing stress. Overall, the course aims to help learners recognise their own sources and symptoms of stress and identify practical strategies that can support effective stress management and personal wellbeing.
