Description
This course is designed for managers and supervisors who require an understanding of work-related stress and their responsibilities for identifying and managing stress-related risks within the workplace. The course introduces work-related stress, its common signs and symptoms and the potential effects on employee health, wellbeing and organisational performance. Learners consider common workplace stressors and their responsibilities for helping to prevent and minimise work-related stress. Learners explore how the risk management process can be applied to work-related stress, including identifying hazards, assessing risks, implementing appropriate controls and monitoring their effectiveness. The course also considers consultation with employees and primary, secondary and tertiary interventions that can be used to prevent or manage workplace stress. Overall, the course aims to provide managers with the knowledge required to recognise work-related stress, manage associated risks proactively and support a healthier and more productive working environment.
