Description
The aim is to restore, manage or establishment of coppice woodland: - Recognize coppice woodland and list tree species that can be managed under this scheme, Decide on suitable rotation length for the more common species and markets for coppice material, Access the age of coppice growth, the stocking density of the stand of coppice, and the need for enrichment planting, Identify ‘standards’ in a coppice crop and state the merits of maintaining a two-story structure, Prepare a plan of operation for the restoration of a coppice woodland to include the enrichment planting of new coppice or Standards.
