Description

This course is designed for employees who are preparing to return to the workplace following an extended period of leave and require an understanding of the basic principles that can support a positive and successful transition back to work. The course introduces the challenges that individuals may experience when returning to work after an extended absence and considers the importance of preparing appropriately for the transition. Learners develop an understanding of how planning and communication can help them manage their return and re-establish themselves within the workplace. Learners consider the importance of engaging with their employer during the return-to-work process, understanding any arrangements that have been established for their return and identifying matters that may need to be discussed before or following their return. The course encourages learners to take a considered approach to resuming their workplace responsibilities and to recognise that returning after an extended absence may require a period of adjustment. It reinforces the importance of appropriate communication and seeking support where required to help achieve a positive return-to-work experience. Overall, the course aims to provide employees with basic awareness and practical principles to help them plan and manage their transition back into the workplace following extended leave.
