Description
This course is designed for individuals who want to develop their ability to work effectively and collaboratively with others as part of a workplace team. The course introduces the principles and benefits of teamwork and collaboration and considers common barriers to effective team working, including team size, conflicting personalities, communication difficulties and negative behaviours. Learners explore different communication styles and approaches for developing more effective working relationships. Learners consider the key characteristics of effective teamwork, including open communication, self-awareness, supporting colleagues and resolving conflict constructively. The course also explores the characteristics of an effective team player and practical considerations for collaborating within virtual and geographically dispersed teams. Overall, the course aims to provide learners with the knowledge and practical awareness required to contribute positively to team performance, develop effective working relationships and collaborate successfully with others.
