Description

This course is designed for employees and other workers who require an understanding of good workplace hygiene practices and how these can help reduce the spread of infectious diseases and protect the health and wellbeing of themselves and others. The course introduces the importance of maintaining appropriate standards of personal and workplace hygiene and considers how infectious diseases and harmful microorganisms may spread between people, surfaces and shared workplace environments. It explores everyday hygiene measures that can help reduce the risk of transmission and the importance of maintaining clean and hygienic working practices. Learners consider their individual responsibilities for workplace hygiene, including appropriate hand hygiene, respiratory hygiene, cleaning practices and the hygienic use of shared facilities and equipment.
